SAPF makes grants to tax-exempt organizations serving people in our region of New Jersey. Grants are made on a competitive basis.

The grants committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the board of trustees.

These Are the Largest of Our 50+ Funds

GENERAL FUND
Grants to organizations providing services in Summit and the surrounding region.

THE COLE-MATREYEK FUND
Grants to organizations working in a health-related field, with special focus on services to people in Elizabeth NJ.

THE GANNER FAMILY FUND
Grants to organizations that aid children suffering from physical, mental, or emotional disabilities, age 15 and younger.

ANN P. NEUPAUER FUND
Grants to support research into cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and other health-related fields.

ROBERT L. STRONG FUND
Grants to support the arts.


SAPF wishes to foster creativity and effectiveness in addressing current community needs. We favor programs that promote collaborative action.

Recently, SAPF has awarded grants for the arts, services to the homeless, education programs, women’s health, support services in the health field, affordable housing, and services for women and children.
